We recently learned about some new shenanigans related to the proposed industrial fish farm off the coast of Sarasota County and need to get the word out! The company that filed for the permit, Ocean Era, just told EPA that they are changing both the type of fish (from Almaco Jack to Red Drum) and the type of facility too – meaning very little other than the location of the facility is the same as when the permit was issued! This means the old permit should be revoked immediately.
